Clear Taillights LT1 Trans AM
Hi,
I saw here some pics in this forum of a trans am with clear tail lights. it was a silver trans am.
I want to know how I open the tail lights to remove the red lenses.
Thanks

They make them for Camaros, and it makes me want to find the closest stick and break them.
Those are for, and ONLY for, the Toyota Altezza. Why do you think their nickname is "Altezza Tail Lights"
Now, clear lights behind black outs might not be too bad, but that's REAAAAAALY pushing it.
If you do it, just make sure you *** it to the extreme. Drop it down to the rocker panels, put huge gold fender flares on it (plastic of course, so after a few months in the sun, it'll be faded), a really bad tint job (bubbles and overlapping lines) and TWO sets of fog lights. One set has to be cut INTO the front bumper cover though. Oh right, and add another spoiler ontop of the one already on the back of your car. I think that should cover it...

sorry but you don't understand the problem.
I live in Germany and here it isn't allowed to have red turn signals.
I tried everything. I used green bulbs, but they are to week.
So I need clear taillights and use the parking light with amber lamps as turn signal.
that's why I need to do this.

Well, sadly I don't think you'll find any. Reason being is because any self respecting Firebird owner (Camaro owners are a WHOLE other ball game ) wouldn't put them on their car, much less even OWN them. So there isn't any market for it. I'd go get the LED bulbs and then re-solder in all new high lumens green LEDs. Or take it to someone who would be able to do that. It probably won't be cheap either way since you'll need (depending on the brand LED bulb) 5-10 LEDs.
I did look though. Came up with nothing.

THOSE don't look bad, but then again they are still stock appearance, where as all the Altezza/Euro styles redesign everything and make it look so
If you pull the tail lights off, there should be plastic tabs that hold it together. At least my 91's looked that way while I was cleaning them up before I mailed them out. How you'd turn them into the clear ones, like above, that's a different story since the plastic itself is dyed. Maybe the lenses are able to be removed, leaving just that clear cover... I bet that's how it was done!

THEY MAKE EUROPEAN SPEC LIGHTS FOR THESE CARS SPECIFICALLY FOR THE REASON OF THE AMBER BULBS... DO A SEARCH AND YOU WILL FIND THEM... THEY LOOK MUCH BETTER THEN DOING THE WHOLE LENSE IN CLEAR SEEING AS THEY LOOK STOCK APEARING BECAUSE THEY ARE STOCK... here is a picture of them. go to this site for the picture it wont come up

O and i was yelling becuase i crazily hate lt1 clear out tail lights.... drives me KOO KOO....

I haven't tried this myself, but you might try this; boil the light assembly.
I was at a motorcycle show and saw a vendor offering some special LED lights. When I questioned him on how they were made he said that he took stock light assemblies and boiled them. This would loosen the glue holding them together and they came apart easily. He would then make his additions and use super glue to put them back together.
I know this sounds strange. It may also be difficult due to the size of the light housing. However, it just may work and be the right solution for you.
