Default Tail light problem

This happend out of nowhere. The driving lights work but the lights don't get brighter when I hit the brakes. The 3rd brake light works like it should so I know it doesn't have to do with anything around the pedal. I checked the bulbs to see if the filaments were bad but they were ok. Anyone have an idea on what could be wrong or how to fix it? Has it happend to anyone before?

Humm maybe theres 2 circuits coming off the brake light switch.
I know that if you have a scanner it will read if brake light switch is on or off
which tells me it reads thru the BCM.

I had the opposite prob, my brake lights would come on but not my driving lights, there is a fuse that covers just the driving lights( I know cause I kept blowing it, runs with the dash lights) so maybe there is one for the brake lights...sorry for the maybes, just something else to check

I would think that if theres a seperate fuse the upper "third" brake light would be on it.
