Default anyone ever heard of a "special" 1995 310hp Trans am?

im not referring to the comp T/A or firehawk (at least i dont think i am), im referring to a limited number of 310hp LT1 cars that supposedly were released in 1995 only according to this wikipedia entry

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontiac_Firebird

its mentioned that they had a freer flowing intake/exhaust and under performance they show a different time for the 95

1995 models were the same as that of previous years, but traction control (ASR: Acceleration Slip Regulation) was now available. A freer intake/exhaust was avalible similar to that of the Chevrolet Corvette giving 310hp on very few models.
1993-1997 275-285 bhp 5.6 s. 155 mph / 250 km/h (electronically limited)
1995(special) 310bhp 4.9 s. 155 mph / 250 km/h (electronically limited)
1998-2002 305-330 bhp 5.4-4.9 s. 155 mph / 250 km/h (electronically limited)
1996-1997(ram air) 305 bhp 5.0 s. 155 mph / 250 km/h (electronically limited)
1998-2002(ram air) 330-355 bhp 5.0-4.5 s. 165 mph / 265 km/h (electronically limited)
the reason im asking this is that based on a 20% driveline loss for an automatic, my 95 T/A pulled 245 rwhp/283 rwtq (306/340) on the dyno with only a K&N panel filter, msd cap and rotor, ngk iridium plugs, and msd wires... hardly what i would consider 30hp worth of mods, and i know the car was 100% bone stock when i bought it (right down to the paper air filter)

someone told me before i dyno'd the car to expect 230rwhp tops.... could i have one of the 310hp cars they are referring to on wiki, or is my LT1 just underrated from the factory?

I wouldn't give this information much credence... I mean...

Initially, the color "Bright Purple Metallic" had been available, however it was discontinued due to production issues with the paint. The color was replaced with "Navy Blue Metallic," but not before a total of 12 Trans Am models (10 coupés and 2 convertibles) made it out of the factory dressed in "Bright Purple Metallic."[1]
Wow, you mean I own 1/6th of all the BPM cars produced?

And the color was not discontinued because of paint issues... it was discontinued because it didn't sell... as is the case when pretty much every color that they stop making.

Naw, I just posted it to show that there's information in that article that's obviously wrong.

They used this website for the reference..

No, that's the dude in the article above. He's told some stories about BPM cars, and many people have taken it as gospel... but I've found from my research on my car that much of it isn't true. He's the same guy that told me that my car wasn't a real BPM WS6 because I didn't have the articulating seats in it.

So let me get this straight, this wikipediphile guy is stating that there was a special T/A in 1995 with a LT1 that made 310? 10 more hp than the 300hp that the LT1 was always rated at in the vette?

See, that's what I hate about wikipediatrician, any bone-head can get on there and post crap and the whole world takes it as fact.

I think it is talking about the dual-cat that was introduced then, which DID up the HP by 10 ponies.

I think the dual cat upped it from 275 to 285 though.

IN 95 one of my best friends bought a purple Firehawk 6 speed t top car.
It had the Borla exhaust and was rated at 310HP.
We took the car to Dayton Firebird Nats in 96 and had a blast driving thru the mountains averaging 28 MPG.
