Default 98 TA Fog lights in a 97???

I have a 97 Trans Am, and it needs new fog lamps. Does anyone know if the 98-02 lamps (the lens and reflector only) are the same as the 93-97? Will they mount in the 93-97 brackets (which I know are different).

Finding decent used 93-97 fog lamps is difficult, but the newer ones are easier to find, so I wondered if I could mount them in the older brackets.

Thanks!

I have a set of '98-'02 driving lights/brackets. This info might help you determine whether or not they're the same.

Info on bracket:
Made in USA
Blazer International
#10019 T

Back of light housing:
Made in USA
SAE F 93 Guide 2F
US Patent #4905,133
Blazer

Front of lense:
SAE F 96 GM 5Z

Thanks for the info. I'll look at mine tonight when I get home and compare. Does the lamp housing mount on the bracket with 2 plastic rivets on the bottom of the housing (pivot point) and a top spring loaded adjuster screw for alignment?

Yep, that's exactly how they're mounted.

Excellent, thanks once again. And....the lamp housing has the same exact identification on the back as yours, so I think they are the same, just the brackets are different.
