I'm trying to install my new power antenna mast from antennamastsrus.com. I forgot to turn my radio off before entering an automatic car wash. (Of course, I should have hand washed it anyway.) The mast bent and later broke, but the power unit should be fine. I followed their instructions to remove the broken antenna, it came out very freely, but I didn't suspect any of the cable had broken off inside. I have not been able to feed the new cable in far enough, or the power unit is not pulling it in when we turn the radio off. Maybe I need to "twist, turn, and poke the cable down" more like zxryder mentioned, and it will work. Does anyone have any other advise?
Thanks!
