Default Tail light shades Trans Am

Hi
I have a few questions concerning these tail light shades for the LT1 Trans Am -97 with the grid style taillights and the reflector under the lights.

- Is there also a taillight shade available for these, where is a hole for the reflectos or are they visible at night when you take a lamp and hold it next to the mounted shades.

- Are there different Taillightshades available? I mean how dark they are. 10%tinted, 20%tinted,.... 100%tinted black.

- Is the light still visible at day when the sun is shining?

- How thick are these shades. I mean doesnt it look a little bit ugly if the filler / center panel isn't as thick as the tail light shades?

- Where can I buy these, please a complete link.

I say sorry for my bad englisch, but please help me. Its urgent.

Thanks and best regards

AutoVentShade TailShade Blackouts for the 93-02 Pontiac Firebird, Part #33041
Available from most local parts stores, ..., for about $38-48+ bucks, ...

Most people are now using the VHT Niteshades paint approach.
For which there is also a ton of info here on the site.

You can get AVS blackout covers from AutoZone for $45-$54. Its not on the shelf, but they can order it and it'll arrive in 3 days (no additional shipping charge either). The "AVS" logo on the covers can be removed with 3M Finesse-IT II fine-cut rubbing compound.

Here is a pic of mine when they were on:

If you look close (especially at the right one in that pic), you can barely see the honeycomb pattern through the covers. That pic was taken without a flash. With a flash, the reflectors reflect the light. The brake lights still shine though fine, just a little dimmer. Its only an issue in bright direct sunlight (still not drastic difference), but in that situation, even non-covered taillights are hard too see.
