Default How much power do the 98-02 firehawks make?

I ran one today, it ran good of course, i was wondering how fast they were stock and the output numbers, high 12s? I am trying to get my guess of how fast my new 350 will go. I herd some were 375 HP, am i wrong?

I think the most they were ever rated at as far as "stock" straight from SLP in 2002 was like 345 horse.

Are you talking about the WS6? I am wondering about the Firehawk, i thought there was a difference between hoods and HP output. Even win on some models? I am not sure.

the horsepower difference between a TA and firehawk is negligible. maybe 10hp...20 tops depending on the "package". gm rated the other LS1 f-bodys pretty low but rated the firehawk close to the actual hp rating to make it even more desirable...not to mention the vette.

`98-`00 WS6's were rated at 320 HP
`99-`00 Firehawks were rated at 327 HP
`01-`02 WS6's were rated at 325 HP
`01 Firehawks were rated at 335 HP
`02 Firehawks were rated at 345 HP
The Biggest difference in HP is due to the Firehawks superior Exhaust system. And in `02 the new Black Wing Air Lid.

Overall all LS1 make approx 345-350 FWHP
My base`98 M6 Formula has out run M6 WS6's and Firehawk's

Ok, so basically they are just like any other LS1 F car, low 13s-high12s. Well, i guess my new motor is not too bad, i watched the guy move and cought him spinning a bit and passed him on the 1-2 shift and let out at the end of 2nd and he was at my back bumper, my car really seems to own folks in third gear, what is really funny is i have a M5 with a 2.73 gear, guess im putting around 350 RWHP or so maybe. Thanks guys, guess i got a 12 second third gen.

Soon enough, i will not go to the track or the dyno till i have a gear better than a 2.73

So, if you were in a firehawk and got beat by a third gen with a 2.73 gear, would you be upset with your girl in the car?

I am just happy it can beat a stock LS1.

It could have been a dump truck, and I'd have been upset

As in cylinder head? Same as any LS1 Firebird of that year I would imagine. Im pretty sure LS1 F bodys have well above the factory ratings as far as horsepower is concerned. I figure no one would want a Vette with the same engine if they could get a Camaro for 30,000 cheaper
