I guess they figure they can price it lower than what the original Camaros are going for and still make more $ than rebuilding it as a 'bird. I'm partial to the '69s though, they've always been my favorite for some reason.

Bastards. 69 was my favorite year, too. Only year that I actually like the nose. Just looks perfect.
Almost bought one for $14K all original with only 71K miles, but I needed something newer because I'd use it as a DD.

That's about what I'm looking to spend, I saw a decent T/A clone with a 400/4spd go for 15K on Ebay a month or so ago. Ideally that's what I'd like to find, so I can put a 408/6spd in it.

Well I had to ask him about it..
"You wouldn't happen to have the original Firebird sheetmetal by chance? Seems such a shame to ruin a rare Firebird and turn it into a common Camaro."
We'll see what his reply is

The body work was "professionally done".......huh? Look at the passenger-side photo. I hope that the body work on the passenger-side has yet to be "professionally done".
All in all that's just weird. It's not like there aren't any '69 Camaros available for sale anymore.

The funny thing is , it will still have the Pontiac vin number, interior, and tail lights. did you notice it still has the Pontiac motor mounts in it. I wouldnt mind having it for parts.
I did mine like a TA but its not a clone. thats why its painted Green and not white
