Default Traction issues

My car is a 69 firbird and has a few mods to it. It has disc brakes all around and a ford 9 inch rear end it has been lowered an inch also. I need steet slicks but what is the best for gaining traction? I was thinking traction bars, but someone was saying there are other ways of getting traction what is my best bet? I also need better gear ratio for the rear end with true posie.

Landrum parabolic mono-leafs with alum front eye bushings or better yet Caltrac bars.
Either way you can't get away from running a sticky tire.
M/T et streets, ET drag radials or all out slicks are my preferences depending on what you are trying to do.
