Default My 89 Formula 350

I don't have an LSX series but this is an excellent board. Heres my 'Bird--bought if from outside Chicago last June. Gotta go to the US to get good cars!
(I like WS6 LT1 cars too)

She is a dead heat for a stock LS1 M6. My exhaust is pure crap...stock, plugged cats, dented Borla muffler

my first car was an '89 formula 350.

that particular car seems odd to me.. no WS6 wheels. what's the rear brake setup?

do you have an RPO sheet for that?

you know your stuff to spot my incorrect rims! My car ould have come from the factory with those rims in the link. When I bought the car, it had GTA rims.

But theres no such thing as "WS6" rims in third gens. Just the centre caps said that. (car does have the rear disc, 3.27 9bolt as did all 350 GTAs/TAs and Formulas)

My 16" rims are correct for an 87 Formula and 85-87 Trans Am (NOT GTA)

I just like the look better--you don't see them very often. They are newly refinished w/ NOS centre caps and Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval tires.

I am missing my SPID RPO list--but all Formulas were WS6.

Thanks for the compliments! And here I thought 4th gen owenrs were all stuck up!

speaking for myself and many others, most 4th gen owners have had a 3rd gen or 2... many still do.

it's true that all formulas were WS6.. and all Formula 350s had an RPO for the bigger rear discs and the 9 bolt, and the modine oil cooler.

the concave version of your rims are just referred to as WS6 because of the caps. personally, i like the concave wheels because they have the old-school coffee-can center caps.

it's a clean car man.. it takes me back to mine. (not nearly as clean.. even when i had it 10 years ago!)

mine was a bright red hardtop with gray interior. i had a hypertech, full length edlebrock headers and a flowtech catback. it was a fun car.

i sold it to buy a mustang that i owner for 9 years. i don't regret that either as all 350 cars were Dogggamatics.

the L98 is a nice motor....they do mean burnouts.

I loved those WS6 wheels on mine...except for the center caps that either always got stolen or flew off at high speeds. One broken tab and...gone...lol.

Looks great!
very clean.
I have owned about 4 cars from that generation f-body and they never let me down..
Just remember if you get bummed about not having an LS1 you can always put a 454 in it!!

Very clean 3rd gen! I definitely would like to have a built 3rd gen f-body track only car sometime.

.

Makes mine look like crap. Mine was abused before I got it. It's black, T-tops, a few mods. One good thing is mileage, 90,000.
Good luck & keep it nice, looks beautiful.
