Is 139 the production of ws6 formulas? If so then I have a pretty rare car too.

Very nice, somebody's going to get a beautiful car. One thing I always loved about the LT1 WS6 cars is that silver painted wheels were an option. To me they look nicer than the polished aluminum jobs the LS1 cars have.

i could not agree more. it's funny though... when those come up for sale, they're cheap.. but hell, i bet less than 300 sets exist!

and to the previous comment.. i am not sure if that number is correct, but an LT1 WS6 formula is very very very rare. i know that w/o t tops there were like 3 or something.

i have a book at home i could probably look it up.

it's a stark contrast to my car. in 98 there were 12,000 t/as made. of which, over 5000 were black and all had t tops. if you assume that 2/3rds were auto.. then my car would be one of maybe 1800 black M6 98 t/as.

wooooweeeeeeeee!

Nice car, but 12,000 for a reserve is way too much for it actually sell. It may be rare but very few cars these days are actually worth something later.

Nice car.

Mines identical...except for mine being an even rarer, special-ordered hardtop.

To answer the question above...the 139 was the number of 1996 black Formula WS6s with the...6-speed.(explained better in my post below)

For this car with only 24k miles?

I dunno. He may get his asking price.

I also disagree with your last sentence too. "Very few rare cars these days are actually worth someting later".

?????? How do you know?

Ive seen stupid 318ci Dodge Challengers(Ive had two) going for 25-30k! They are slow as dogs. And, have you priced a pedestrian 327 67-69 Camaro lately? And they made tons of those so they are not rare.

It's not just the big motored cars doing well. It's any American "muscle car" body style.

We have no idea how the WS6s will eventually do but we certainly cant write them off.

I regularly use my rare 67k miled Formula WS6 for enjoyment, but I'm not abusing it cause who knows what it might sell for down the raod.

Actually, your's is 1 of 105...broken down as far as known. See the breakdown below.

In 1996, Of the 2,575 total WS6's, 524 Formula WS6's were built.

6 speed cars

-139 black
-105 red
-51 white
-37 green
-27 silver

A4 cars

-52 black
-55 red
-24 white
-21 green
-13 silver

T-Top vs. Hardtop...unknown for 1996 Formula WS6. But historically, based on other known years, the ratio was under 5:1

Does that mean my wheels are worth money? I am trying to get rid of them.
