Default OK what idiot designed........

I recently bought an 01 Formula Firehawk and I want to know what idiot put a bird bath into the design of the car!!??

The stupid deaklid spoiler in the back is nice and recessed in the middle below the glass and has all 4 sides higher then the middle with no drain holes or channels. I wash the car then I can take a bath on the rear deck lid.

Nice car which I am really enjoying but how stupid was that.

He has the stock Firebird spoiler since it's a Formula. I also have a Firehawk Formula and I love opening the decklid and dumping the gallon or so of water that pools up in the middle of the spoiler into my car when I open it. It's awesome.

I AM buying the TA hatch/IROC wing. It's not going to solve any problems, but it sure does look good.

that firehawk spoiler is aerodynamically perfect, though. so that's a plus!

after i wash my car i just pop the hatch and open slowly to about 1/3 way open and it drains out the back glass channel and down the sides and out the rear bumper, only takes like 20 secs, it aint that bad

If the car is perfectly level ground water wont stand there, it does run down the channel by the glass. What does suck though is after a wash you've gotta open the hatch and dry the water out of the deck area otherwise it will run down the bumper and trash your clean car.

yeh... fox LX hatchbacks have the issue... it actually makes water sit under the spoiler.. which ultimately allows for rust.

not an issue on the f bod.. but yeh.. stupid idea.

T/A hatches are ugly.... sorry...
I like the fact that my formula easily passes for a v6 till i lean into it.

After i wash my car and dry it I typically open the doors, hood, hatch and gas door and wipe down all the jams any way.
If you do this it will give the water enough time to dribble down the rear bumper and you can just wipe it up.
I have super hard water at my house so typically after I wipe down the jams I clean the interior and then go over the whole car with some mist and shine just to get rid of all the left over water spots.
