Default How can I tell if a WS6 T/A is a real WS6 and not a clone?
I am looking at a 2001 WS6 I want to buy out of state. How can I make sure this is a real 2001 WS6 and not a clone? Thanks in advance!!

On the drivers door sticker you will see WS6....or not.

Window sticker or drivers door sticker will have the WS6 option code.

tag on drivers side door, It will say WS6 as one of the RPO codes.....along with GU7 for the 3.42 rear gear. Seems easier than looking at the VIN

car has no tag on drivers door It does have ws6 hood and wheels

Then the door was replaced/repainted, at that point, I woudl more question the condition of the car, vs if it is a real ws6 or not.

Does it have correct exhaust? What year?

I agree, missing decal on driver's door is a sure sign that door has been replaced, look for other damage too.

The car is for sale locally so I am not sure if my local dealer would be willing to do that.

The service department should run the VIN for you without any trouble. I've done this at several dealerships and I've never had anyone say no.
