Default Got the 3'73's in,tuner help.

Which one? My car is staying pretty much stock. But the speedo is off and I think I need to change the shift points a little. What else should I do? I don't want to break the bank either..And yes,I tried a search and came up with jack..

Do you mean what software for your computer? Or are you looking for a hand held?

Funny, your car is a dead ringer for mine.. Why? all I want to do is change the speedo and shift points really..I have no idea where there is a shop that can do that around here..

Send your PCM to PCMforLess.

Costs about 175 and they can do several things to it while they have it.

I just had mine done for the 4.10s but they did rev-limiter delete, CAGs delete, 160 thermostat settings, timing advance, etc. Took 3 days but I paid for the overnite shipping both ways.

Great people, cheaper than a hand held.

Thanks Usual..There is no way I'm sending it in or taking it out of the car if I don't have to...I think I'm just going to get a diablosport and be done with it.. My car is pretty much stock..Sending it in worries me especially if it is screwed up when I get it back, then I'm in serious trouble..

That's cool...whatever you're comfortable with.

The guy at PCMforLess, Bryan Herter has an excellent reputation though. I first dealt with him years ago when he was just getting into this and it wasn't "PCMforLess" yet. He did the PCM on my LT1 96 Impala SS. He has an order sheet online to pick and choose what you want to do. And he answers the phone there and will answer any questions you have.

There is two ways to do it. You can take your's out and send it in and he then programs it and returns it to you.
Or...you can have him send you one programmed to your cars specs and your desires and then you just send your's back to him later. It's an exchange.

I did it the exchange way with my Impala and sent my own in with my WS6. It works good either way. You won't be disappointed.

As far as removing your PCM it simply has 4 connectors that are color coded. Unplug them and it's out.

Really easy. Even if it's just for the gear change it's worth it. You're car is adding mileage to the odometer faster than it really is with the 3.73's.

I know how to get it out,it is easy. But Then I can't drive the car..That's the part I'm having a problem with..The exchange thing sounds good tho..I get the new one and send the old one back..I realize I'm putting ghost miles on the car, that's why I want this done now!

Predator or VINCI/CRANE Handheld are the only 2 that are any good at all.
