Default New Firehawk!

I purchased my first LS1 powered car today! I've been driving around in an 02 camaro 6'er which I still own and love but now I have this baby!

Its a 2002 Trans Am Firehawk car number #418!

Its got the bilstein suspension, SLP wing, SLP intake, Chrome wheels, and everything else you can imagine. (I am not sure if it has the auburn differential because I do not have it at my house yet, waiting for loan to go through)

Only 29,000 miles on it!

You guys got any tips for me? I am a responsible driver and am paying for the car myself so I'm no rich kid. I am a gas mileage freak and try to squeeze the most mileage out of my cars (hypermilling). I pulled 34mpg out of my camaro v6, with city and highway driving. What should I expect with this car (its auto).

Sick car man.. don't expect decent gas mileage though. Around the city, my WS6 gets about 200miles to the tank...

Wow, man, how do you drive?
I generally put in 10 gallons at a time, and get 220-230 miles out of just that.

He'll get better gas mileage then what people are saying heh. Hell, one guy with an LT1 and A4 (no 2.73s) got 32mpg on the highway during his 280mi trip home.

congrats!!! you look young.... please take care of the hawk and don't kill her... as far as gas mileage. I've been getting 23-25 on the high way with my 6 speed@80mph w/4.10 gears. just don't drive with a lead foot and i think you'll be ok.

Maybe I'm doing my liter to gallon, and km to mile conversion wrong? haha

As soon as I get it home after the loan goes through I will take some more pictures.

Yeah I live near Newark Delaware, and I am 19. I go to college at west chester university in pa.

The killer is just waiting to get it home... I already signed the papers and put the down payment on the car, but loans take time for someone my age.

You'll probably see about 270-300 miles a tank depending on how you drive. 6 speeds get 30+ MPG if they are stock, but the 2 less gears and the converter are downfalls for A4's as far as MPG goes. Nice car for sure!

Should've had your mom or dad co-sign on the loan. I got my $5K loan years ago when I was 19/20 right away with mom co-signing it.

Enjoy the car, especially if you've not owned an F-Body before!

I have an 02 camaro v6, so its my second fbody

2G2FV22G122124981 is the vin, anyone want to tell me anything special about it? haha.

and I am living on my own so my parents are not even in the equation.

Those of you looking to buy f-bodys, watch out the interest rate on used auto loans is 9.95 percent. That. Is. Insane.

I promise as soon as the car is in my hands I will take pictures a to z after a good wash including door codes.

Congrats man! And FINALLY another young F-Body owner on here! (No offence to you guys on here, I don't mean your old, but he is the first other teen LS1 owner I have seen on here) I am 17 and 2 months ago just bought myself a 2001 Trans-Am WS6 M6. My parents are NOT helping me pay for it, they did however co-sign the loan for me because it would take forever for the loan to go through and the interest rate would be rediculous. Here is a pic of my ride from a show yesterday, mine is the red WS6:

Also are you going to sell your V6? Its an easy and great way to get some extra $$. Some to put into the Hawk and some to kep for college
