Default Cruise control

Well, it seems that my 1998 T/A I bought did not come with cruise control.

Is that a rarity for these cars? It has everything else that normally came on these cars except for the lumbar seats, just the base leather driver side power only seat (passenger is manual). I'm going to look again, but I thought that GM moved the cruise control module beside the A/C dryer on the LS1 cars and I don't remember seeing more than one throttle cable going to the TB.

Check your turn signal switch again for the functions. (Edit: Functions, not funstions, ...)
Seems odd that it would not have it.
Cruise Control Module is NOT by the AC dryer. That would be the 'Traction Control'.

Turn signal switch does have the cruise buttons.

What is the RPO for cruise? I'm seeing K34 which I don't have, only K I have is K68 which shows up as

K68 : GENERATOR,105 AMP

Cruise control is standard on Formula's and Trans Am's. So if your car does not have Traction Control then you should have 2 cables attached to the TB one for Throttle one for Cruise.

look under the steering column, at the top of the pedals (where they attach). There are two buttons that tell the comp that the brake and clutch (if applicable) are depressed or not. Each one has a white plastic clip that holds the button onto the metal support. That plastic clip breaks alot, I would bet it is broken on yours. look there first.
