Closest I've been able to narrow down is 2500 or so M6 '95 Formulas. Nothing about color numbers for 1995.
My data for '95s contains #s for only 3 colors, and one of them being "purple":

Total '95 Formulas: 7448 Coupes, 1037 'verts
A4: 4889 coupes / 750 'verts
(A4 w/ 3.23 rear): 1662 coupes / 367 'verts
M6: 2559 coupes / 287 'verts
4342 coupes had t-tops
Cass/EQ: 3210 coupes / 898 'verts
CD/EQ: 2804 coupes / 96 'verts
Purple: 396 coupes / 34 'verts
Silver: 423 coupes / 47 'verts
BGC: 293 coupes / 28 'verts
(other colors missing)

Verts w/:
White top: 178
Black top: 620
Taupe top: 239

Graphite leather: 1432 c / 312 v
Beige leather: 333 c / 179 v
Gray leather: 365 c / 60 v
Red leather: 132 c / 52 v
White leather: 0 c / 97 v
(cloth #s missing)

Aka: SOTL = Single On The Left. Unique to the '98 WS6s and SSs. Better flowing and sounding than the '99+ WS6/(stock)SS exhaust, which had to be toned-down to meet new noise restrictions. I still have mine.

thats probably a pretty rare one... i saw one at the T/A nationals that was a 1 of 1 car supposedly

98 gold 1LE formula WS6 (the 1LE is why it was one of 1, supposedly only 14 1LE's were made in 1998 and only 1 was SG)

I dont have many 98 numbers so just wait for Johnny to comment.

I LOVE your car man. I tried to find an oddball color for my Formula but COULD not find any in a stick that I wanted with low miles. They just arent around. Post up some more pics of that SG Formula in the members ride area and send me the link man!!!

A: All of them. But I doubt all 7 were M6, where did you get that info?

Of the 65 SGM WS6s built in '98, only 7 were Formulas (6 were TA Verts, 52 were TA coupes). Not sure the M6/A4 breakdown on any of those.

There were a total of 60 SGM '98 Formula coupes built, just the 7 of those were WS6s.

There were 53 (60-7) SGM Formulas built that were NOT WS6s.

Do you have your ASC#? If not, PM me your VIN and I'll look it up.

53+7 = 60, must be talking about the SGM Formulas then (both WS6 and non-WS6). But I'd have a hard time believing all 7 SGM Formula WS6s were the M6s leaving all the other 53 SGM (non-WS6) Formulas the A4s. OTOH, I don't doubt that a higher percentage of WS6 cars were M6s than non-WS6 cars, although I don't think I've seen any statistics that back that up.

Now I understand your original question, thus my original answer "A" is not correct, unless coincidently all 7 of the M6 SGM Fomulas happen to BE THE SAME 7 WS6 SGM Formulas.

BTW, CONGRATS on having ASC#6, the lowest # (first) SGM WS6 built in '98!

Since your car is not a WS6, there was no ASC build-number assigned (ASC only touched WS6 cars). The VIN is as close to a build number you'll get.

There should be a build date on one of the door decals.
