Exclamation 02 WS6 Turn signals/reverse lights

My 02 WS6 is having some issues. Everything was fine with her, now all of a sudden her turn signals stopped working. About the same time, the reverse lights quit. Here's the odd part....the DRL's still come on like normal and the hazard still works. Brake lights still work, headlamps, etc. Turn signals are gone. I changed the blinker itself, and the fuse as well, only to find that it keeps blowing the fuse no matter what amperage i put in there. It seems like a short somewhere to me, but i couldnt even begin to guess where....anyone ever have this issue? Any ideas?

I had kind of the same issue...i hade to replace the turn signal housing, and all the wiring. It looked like corrosion took over the housing and the wiring; you might have to do the same for the turn signals. Not too sure about the taillights though.

That definetly does not sound good. What did that run you? Or did you do it yourself? Maybe i can look at it on the weekend and see whats going on...the reverse/backup lights are what arent working as well...

for the front blinkers, the housing alone cost about 50 bucks each at the dealership, and the light bulb and wire harness was like 9 bucks at autozone. I had to replace the light housing because they were not clear any more, they were hazy from all the water and gunk.

My DRL sockets are horrible nasty. And I've having some trouble with them working and not working.

As far as the lense of the housing. You can just buff it out.

Holy old post - I just happened to look at my old email tied to this...

Still have the car, now with 19,500 miles on her.

Anyway, the solution was I took it to Corvette Paramedics (a few years ago), who found a short having direct relation to the reverse switch. Whenever the car was put into reverse, this would happen. I would focus your efforts on that piece/circut. It was the culprit for me.

A reply from the OP on an eight year old thread? Almost as amazing as a T/A with only 19.5k on the clock.

So where exactly was this short, what wiring was causing it? Ive heard alot of stories about the DRL sockets basically crumbling because of the heat from being on constantly..i was thinking about putting in some LEDs for the DRLs and figure i should replace the sockets while im in there.
