Actuator. You can actually take them apart, at least you could on the LT1s and flip the gears to get more life. I also seem to recall you can get new metal gears. Once again, this is info I am trying to recall from 4 years ago.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR MOTOR APART! I made a thread about this a while back. this doesnt work in every case but flip your lights up, remove the negative battery cable, remvoe the 10 mm nut holding the arm onto the motor, get to your adjustment **** and rotate 180 degrees from where it was before. now put it back together and it SHOULD work, provided that it was not done before and the whole gear is not stripped.
this should take you no more than 10 minutes! i have done it with BOTH of my headlight motors so far and they still work.

Heres a link to the video to help you out, I watched the video twice and it only took me 30 minutes. (But I also put the headlight motor in a vice for 10 minutes so the silicon would stick good).

Hope this vid helps you like it helped me.

I had the link bookmarked.
I WISH I had put mine in a vice and waited.... It still works fine... but the housing has seperated and I have the top to a WD-40 can wedged in there to keep it in place.
I know.... I'll get back and fix it sometime soon.
