Default l76 block questions

im unsure if it will be a problem to swap parts from other ls based engines into a l76 block. (ie. heads crank and cam) i figured id ask if anyone knows if the displacement on demand components will give me trouble or if thats just in the computer? and is there something with cam phasing on these engines?
id like to put ls6 heads (243's) on it and convert to carb with a super victor manifold and forged pistons and rods, factory crank unless i go with a forged 4 inch stroker.... id like to spray nitrous max 200 hp. my main goal is to have a daily driver for work (15 highway miles round trip) but take it to the track and run 7's in the 1/8th.
id go with a lq4 but i am able to get a l76 bare block cheaper. any ideas and help would be appreciated... the build time is going to be through the winter. the truck has a 300 hp 305 in it now with a blown 700r4 tranny. so i figured its gunna be time for a upgrade and was thinking 6.0 with a t56 behind it...

Everything is pretty much interchangable. The bare block shouldnt have any of the DOD hardware on it. It would pretty much be like a LS2 block except for the extra oil galleys.

awesome info and help g8gt721 thanks for the link! since the block i am getting has no crank and g8's have the 58 tooth wheel is that better than a 24 tooth? if not is there any way or benefit of switching? im thinking on getting my hands on a used crank from a lq4 or something and if i remember right those are 24 tooth... if it will work that is. thanks a3vette for the help aswell. i like that the parts swap between alot of the ls engines thats for sure!

Since its going into an older truck, id use the 24x wheel to make the swap easier.

I dont understand how you are getting an L76 block cheaper than an LQ4/9 because when new, its the other way around. The iron blocks are a few hundred cheaper.
