Default G8 GXP exhaust

Here is my current exhaust. Patrick G and I agreed quickly on it, Kurt installed it.

American Racing Headers 1-7/8" x 3"
3" X-Pipe and conn. pipes with high flow cats
Magna flow 12468 in the middle
Stock GXP axelbacks and mufflers.

The reason I'm posting this is I've seen questions about the Magnaflow 12468, and also if there is a good amount of clearance with this mid muffler. Here are a couple of videos that may help some of you decide whether you like it or not.

The good thing about this exhaust is that it is both wife and mother in law approved.
The first shows a video of the exhaust when it was on the rack. You can see what a quality job was done during the install.

Here is a video of the car being started and revved a bit.

Here is a video (sound only) of the car at wide open throttle, from inside the car.

Sounds good. I had LT headers with GXP mufflers on my car before and it was really raspy. That Magnaflow midmuffler really appears to eliminate the rasp.

Doesn't the muffler have an internal X?

Nice set up. Its similar to what I have planned for my wife's GXP. Any interior drone when cruising down the highway?

Yeah the Magnaflow 12468 is listed as a Tru-X muffler... so he's go two x pipes in line with each other!

I dont have any drone with 1 7/8 headers, no cats, no mid muffler, and the new Dynomax VT mufflers. Couple of guys have switched to these new mufflers and they work really well.

SS answered most of your questions. No, there is no drone at all. Basically the car is too quiet until you mash the go pedal.

Like I stated, it is both wife and mother in law approved (sound wise).
