Default Head/Cam Package

This summer I will be installing a H/C/I on my G8 GT. Currently I am cam only and making 414rwhp with the mods in my sig.

I am looking between ARF230 and TFS225s. They both seem to be an excellent cylinder head. Compression around 11.2-11.5. As for the camshaft, I plan on keeping it under .650 lift and between 240-250 duration. Intake will be the FAST with the stock ported TB. Anybody have done a combination like this? I have seen Patrick Gs results, just wondering about someone else...

Thanks For The Time

How do the AFR's and Trickflows compare to TEA ported LS3 heads? I'm thinking about doing heads and a cam next winter and the ported LS3's have a nice price tag.

You will be happy with either head. I know the springs that came in my TFS heads were max 600 lift, they have a 650 lift upgrade. Maybe that's TEA can't remember.

Think you would be better off with the new PRC 250cc head. Little too much cam for an EFI intake. Have yet to see any good numbers out of a 240 duration cam with hydraulic lifters. 230+ degrees and you are already talking 7000 rpm with a good setup. If your going to go big, then go solid lifters. Plus you'll need valve reliefs to run a cam that big on a good ICL.

The small bore is for the LS1 3.9" bore. Their mid bore are for the 6L-6.2L.

Ever considered a light to medium effort FI build? Something like a D1 or Maggie?
