Post Reults of new build

First off a big THANKS to all who gave advice, listened to my rants, and/or supplied parts:
Fran at RPM, PatG, Brian at Reckart, Mike at RotoFab, Charlie, George, John, and whoever
else I forgot to mention.

The car feels like a totally different car to drive. And that's hard to imagine since the build
that we took out ran a 11.66 .... There's more torque down low and more
hp at the high end. I couldn't go too crazy, the roads were still a little damp from all the
rain we've had the last two days. Hopefully I can make it to Cecil on WED.

A couple of engine pics

And now the results. This graph is a comparison of
of the old vs new build. I was told that the best way
to show the difference in power would be to use
uncorrected hp.

Nice, solid 40whp gain! What did you change besides the intake manifold and possibly the MAF housing it looks like? Why stop at 6500 if it was still making power? Looks like yours breaths better up top with the intake manifold, same thing mine did.

Uncorrected usually shows slightly higher numbers then SAE but as long as both sets of numbers are the same correction it'll show your gains just fine.

We'll have to ask Fran why they stopped at 6500rpm...not sure??? The corrected numbers were overcorrected...LOL ... So we used uncorrected numbers. The 434hp pull was from last year after the vararam and ported
intake install.

Bigger headers and FAST manifold are solid moves for improving airflow up top, same thing I saw when doing those mods. Stock manifold was choking me up top.

Curious as to why you didnt just get the heads you had ported? I guess less down time and you can just sell them.

Did you get flow numbers? Do they really outflow the Livernois heads? Believe Livernois is 360cfm on intake, 275 on exhaust.

Get it straight.......it was 16 months. LMAO

From the Livernois web site:
cost $2200
Intake Flow Rate 360 CFM
Exhaust Flow Rate 245 CFM

Greg Good -- not home but I believe these are the numbers
cost almost free
Intake Flow Rate 365 CFM
Exhaust Flow Rate 235 CFM

True you got a good deal on the GG, but the Livernois are listed with a new set of heads, you can send yours in and have the same thing done for much cheaper like 1/3 of that.
