Perhaps. But as far as I know there isn't anyone that has been able to get a G8's weight down to anywhere close to what you can on a fbody after weight reduction mods.
While not F-body light its pretty easy to get a G8 down to 3700-3800'lbs with no visible weight reduction. Lighter battery, long tubes, exhaust, etc make a difference. You can lose 70lbs just by getting rid of the stock iron manifolds, cats, and big mufflers. Lose another 20 with a battery. Take off the engine cover and other small things that add up.

How fast is your lightweight car? Its super easy to make a G8 run solid 11's on motor even at 4000-4200lbs.

My homie had a 2008 Dodge Nitro...You name it, it was going and he bought a 2011 Ford F150 Ecoboost. Congratulations on the purchase. Is it a AT or MT?
Let me know how it is driving, also in the market for the this one or GXP model
Enjoy it!

The GT only comes with an AT with manual shift mode. The GXP is available with AT or MT but they cost about $10,000+ more.

You wouldn't happen to know if it is possible to fit 18 inch rims on a GXP would you? Or the best place to ask around? It wouldn't be unacceptable if the calipers had to be slightly rubbed down...

18" wheels won't clear the calipers on a GXP. Even the G8 factory 19" wheels from the GT don't fit.

OZ Alleggerita 18" wheels clear the GXP Brembo's. One of our local members with a GXP just installed a set. Guys have used different wheels but those OZ's are lighter.
