Chris have you found any glass replacements for your fogs on eBay? I had the same thing happen to mine... I've been looking on the forums and it seems like most go back to stock... It looks way too good and It illuminates the road Perfect so I'll be keepin them if I can:/

No I have not found any. I looked on ebay and I found some with halos that come with 10k hids... I wasnt to interested. let me know if you find anything. I got my kits from a local shop. The fog lights are a 5202, and he headlights are a H11 bulb. HIDNATION.COM is usually pretty good.

Not sure. I just installed my 35w this morning in the headlights. Hopefully it holds up pretty good. I'm thinking about putting leds in my fog lights. and just replacing the fog light with an oem one.

HID's will melt the stock foglight (even 25w HID's). Your best bet if you cannot live without HID's in the fogs is to measure the diameter of the factory foglight and find an aftermarket glass foglight in the same diameter. You'll probably have to make custom brackets to make it work.

The factory lighting was horrible. i went from having HIDs in all my lights in my trans am. So I tried it out in my G8 unfortunately it melted. So I think I am just going to put leds in my fogs and see how that looks.

The housings on this car aren't meant to support higher wattage bulbs or HIDs. They are there primarily for style as you found out the hard way.
Converting the low beams to HID is a good upgrade. I'd leave the driving lights alone.

There is a way! The melting issue has nothing to do with the wattage of the bulb and everything to do with the length of bulb.
Standard HID bulbs come too close to the fog light lens causing arcing from the electrode which then melts the plastic. Using a shorter bulb solves everything. I have had my fogs in for over a year with no melting at all.
Anyone who wants details let me know... I should have enough posts to receive pm's soon ;-)
