Default VCM USA OTR Intake for G8

We are very excited to announce that we now have VCM Over-The-Radiator (OTR) intakes for the G8 GT & GXP in stock.

These Australian-made intakes are hands-down the nicest aftermarket intakes available for the G8 when it comes to fit and finish. They fit so well that they are often mistaken for a factory piece.

Looks aside, they also offer some of the best horsepower gains. In this video made by a shop in New Zealand, they were able to make an additional 29.5 crank HP over the factory intake and 55 crank HP with a tune. This was on a Holden Commodore (Australian version of the G8) with a full exhaust.

OTR style intakes offer better horsepower gains because they provide a straight shot into the intake with no bends, they benefit from a ram-air effect, and they feed cooler air in from in front of the radiator. The photo below is a comparison between the VCM intake and Vararam's intake for the G8. You can see there is a massive different in intake and filter size. Vararam's doesn't even come close!

These are also available as a complete kit including the side panels and infill panel to cover the gap left after the removal of the factory intake:

Pricing is $549 with free US shipping for the basic kit, and $649 for the complete kit including the side panels and infill panel. We also have couplers for MAF-less setups and Magnuson superchargers available.

You can use this intake with a 102mm throttle body and 4" MAF housing by replacing the MAF to TB coupler with a 4" coupler.

These intakes can be purchased on our website here: http://www.improvedracing.com/produc...akes-c-48.html

You can also call us at 407-494-3278 to place an order, or post up or PM me if you have any questions. We are happy to help.

Thanks!

Nope, it's a standard K&N air filter, part number 33-2591.

Yes, it's designed to work with the stock parts. We don't have any photos of it installed without the panels, sorry.

here you go , i pulled the pic off the net

personally i think its worth getting the filler pieces , makes it look more like a stock intake , at the minimum get the fender hole filler

you will be very happy with it , take your time with the push pins , and remove the fan plug from the shroud if it hits the bar when you tilt the radiator back

VCM doesn't make an OTR intake for the GTO, but they do make a cold air intake: http://www.improvedracing.com/intake...gto-p-349.html

The filter is sold separately (it's a K&N filter).
