Default Hazer's G8 Build.

So you all may know my G8

I got it back in 2009 with a V6, I really don't know why, but i could tell you I would have killed myself with a V8 at the age of 17 lol
Anyways, I did have one of the most heavily modded G8 V6s in the world, that goes for Holden's too, it made about 242whp 260rwtq (full bolt ons + tune) which was ******* AWESOME
I also did road race the car with the help of Brembos all around and BC Racing Coilovers

In 2013, I tried my best to sell the car, but I couldn't get any offers that met with my KBB + Mods. Parting out is always a PITA so I didn't even bother and dealers were offering me $12k...
I always thought about going FI with the V6 but the options are so expensive and very limited. So in February 2014 I pulled the trigger and threw my motor on craigslist just to see if I could sell it. Surprisingly 3 days later it was coming out the car lol

SO, me not knowing the motor was going to sell this quick I really had no clue what I was doing.. lol..
Luckily my friend Randy from Left Hand Utes had done a similar swap to one of his projects, so I had a Guru to tell me what I needed. I found a full pull out from a wrecked G8 GT from American Parts Center in Houston, TX with 52k miles. The motor had the notorious G8 GT DoD Valve/Lifter ticking so I got it for a great price Plus the main idea was to do a Heads/Cam on the car before the motor went it! How perfect is that!!

So a few weeks ago I got this bish in

Luckily my friend Robert from Next Gen Auto will be helping me with the swap!!

Let the build begin!!
What an epic first post.

As of 06/02
Heads are over at Adam Schwab, hes doing a full port and polish.
Full DoD Delete kit is coming from Texas Speed Performance.
Cam is still pending, but most likely a PD Stage 3 Cam, from Rick Crawford with LS3 Valves, and Dual Springs.

Very nice car! But you would never get back what you put into unless you found the right buyer.

haha thanks guys,
I've had the car for 5 years, it's my first car.. I don't think it'll ever be worth what it is to me.. Plus it'll make a great shop car for my future investments!

Never build a hot rod thinking you will make money on it. I never have. Someone makes money in the hot rod business, it just isn't me.

Very cool project, good Iuck with the swap!

Did you ever dyno the V6 stock? I'd be curious what it picked up with bolt-ons.

Those are some solid gains from bolt-ons.

Nice. I really want to get my heads ported by rick Crawford. I have a g8 with a small cam and I got my stock heads milled a bit and had a valve job done and made 440. Can't wait to see yours up and running keep us posted.

Damn, that's going to be a Huge difference from the V6. Probably about 200rwhp more. Better save money for an extra set of rear tires!
