My wife's 09 GT (all stock, just over 100k miles) gets mid teens city (her driving). On the trips to Chicago to visit family, best was 27mpg, 70-75mph cruise on, maybe 1 stop in late spring (no a/c but summer blend gas). Worst was middle of winter, got 22 or 23, same driving habits, same roads. This thing just doesn't like winter blend gas.

I'd like to see how it does with a freed up exhaust and a tune, biased toward efficiency, as the power is plenty, especially for my wifes dd.

I prefer smiles per gallon vs miles per gallon. I have a beater(01 regal gs) for work and a toy for the rest. The only thing I get decent MPGs is my wifes hybrid tahoe

Mine got around 23 in town, and 25 in mixed driving. Now on long trips I could easily see 28-29 even up to 30 sometimes.

Mine with a tune and cai with 2.92's got 28-29 on highway and 20-21 around town if I drove it right....then I did headers and gear swap to 3.23's and got 27 hwy and about 18 around town! Then put a thumpr cam in on a 114 ls along with solo axle backs with an x pipe, circle d 3200, It went to about 24 hwy and 16 city!! Still enough to make me smile about dual mileage and running 7.70's in the 1/8....but it's sold now ha
