Default Pontiac G8 GT to 2009 Cadillac CTS-V performance

Hey guys I am new to the Pontiac G8 GT world and I was looking to purchase a 09 CTS-V, but could not pass up on a good deal on a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT. What would it take to go from G8 GT performance to 2009 Cadillac CTS-V performance?

With a little bit of work and some parts you can throw an LSA supercharger on the G8 and have it make some good power numbers.

We don't do anything for the 2nd gen CTS-Vs but we do plenty for the G8.

For the G8 it would be just like any other LS vehicle. I would start off with intake and exhaust then move over into the engine side of thing with heads and cam. The G8 tend to have issues with the DOD lifters once they get some mileage on them so it is a good excuse to get into the engine and make the appropriate changes. Then if you want to do forced induction you can retrofit the LSA supercharger on it or go with a Maggie/Procharger setup.

You can go as crazy as you want you just have to figure out what your plans and goals are for the car.

My goals are CTS-V performance for starters.

Then go after the hell cat.

Big thanks to Kyle for hooking me up with the BMR sways and rear cradle bushings. The car is a lot flatter in turns and responds quicker to inputs. He suggested some other mods I will be doing when he is free again...

I am glad I could help you out and that you are happy with everything. With these mods and all the future mods you have in store, the car will be transformed into a completely different animal.
