Holden Conversion?
I currently have an 07 c6, but I'm thinking about moving out (im 20, live at home) and cant afford both a place and the vette. So I've been looking for something a little more affordable and practical, and the G8 GT seems like a nice midpoint for me. But after looking at the SS Commodore, I LOVE that front end. Will there be a way to convert the front end inexpensively? (ie not fully custom) Or better put, will the front clip and hood be interchangeable?

it will be interchangeable completely if its anything like the gto/manaro. Which it is. It should just bolt on like a body kit. It wont be cheap though. I think the gto guys are dropping like 3-4k for a full conversion. What are you paying on your c6? A g8 gt is about 35k it wont exactly be a cheap car.

I thought the GT was only around 30. Plus I was hoping to work out a deal on a possible trade. I put around 26 down on the c6 (only 3 months ago), and owe 20 on it. I'd rather put around 25 down on the g8 and owe around 5-6k, which I could pay off in a few months. Just in time before I move out.
Nothing is set in stone though by any means. This is just some crazy plan I've concocted over the last couple of days. I'd love to keep the vette, but it seems foolish to be 20k in the hole when I could realistically own whatever I'm driving and get my own place.

It's an easy hood and front fascia swap to make the G8 back into a Holden Commodore.
Numerous GTO owners have made their cars back into Holden Monaros the same way. The parts you need are affordable and readily available from vendors like JHP (http://www.jhp.com.au/).
You don't have to use Holden badges either with Holden parts either. Many Holden owners swap their badges for Chevrolet bowties which are also available.
Turn the G8 sedan into a Chevrolet.
Turn the upcoming G8 ST coupe-utility into a Chevrolet.
