I dont see the big deal, I can peel the firehawk stickers off of mine and change the hood and its a formula. I dont see a firehawk being any more special than an SS camaro, GM puts SS on everything so whats the difference. A G8 firehawk is better than a Cobalt firehawk

I obviously don't have the time to read this WHOLE thread but one would think this topic would be redundant with the closing out of Pontiac division. I'm confused, are they still going ahead with the Firehawk project?

+1. Even if it maintained the same name cars change so much between generation that what's the point of crying if they used a completely different car?
Oh booo hooo it has four doors. IF GM would bring back the Firebird at a later date I can see some strife. But it isn't coming back. This is what we have folks.
These days we are lucky to have anything sporty from GM at all. I guess some people can't see past very minor setbacks. At least the rear end doesn't explode on command.

I wonder what the actual build number will be. My guess is less than 50, with a good amount of those being the non-supercharged version.
Fact is, times change, hence why GM had to shed off Pontiac, Saturn, Saab, Hummer, and Oldsmobile a few years ago. Fact is, I think it would have been better to let the Firehawk name rest with the last Firebird produced, but that's my decision to make.

If they would have listened to us first they could have saved themselves a TON of money and time. It's no wonder the parts are so expensive - they have to make up for all that lost R & D money.
