My GTO had that issue before I bought the car. I never saw the car before I bought it but it's the first thing the dealer told me. They had it fixed before I even put a downpayment on the car.. clearly they knew I wasn't gonna take ****. But yes it's very common.. if you have a warranty they should cover it.

Got mine done this summer under warranty. Just the left back seat cover lists for $940. I hope it's still under warranty. The left/rear cover is part number - 92147450.

Mine hasn't done it yet..being garaged and only used as a weekend warrior helps, along with liberal use of leather conditioner.

Lots of leather conditioner to keep it from tearing, I have seen it happen a lot on other cars.

Mine is torn too. Didn't notice until after I bought the car and started detailing it. I rack up the ripped stitching to neglect. The leather on the top part of both back seats has shrunk thus pulling the stitching out. Plus being a Fl. car it should have been tinted...which I did.

I really need to get my rear seat fixed. Bought the car two years ago and tinting the windows did in fact help.

Default i had that problem but took care of it easily.

Basically its due to the sun drying out the leather especially in the back seat near the headrest. That problem i had when i first got mine. The original owner never had the car tinted so that was the first thing i took care of. However there are apolstry shops that can take out the rear seats and re condition the leather with a heavy duty leather treatment and that allows them to re strech the leather and re stich it back to its original greatness. I didnt have to pay for mine since i had it down a few days after i bought the car, however if u have to pay for this its not that bad at all. No more then $100.00 but you are going to have to be without a rear seat or two for a week or however long it takes them.

Ultimate Orangess, that sucks man that it still happened. But since they did mine over a year ago i havent had any issues whatsoever. Just have them take out the rear seats or seat an theyll condition it real nice and soft and re stretch it back then re stich it and it should be good for a long time, I also am ocd with cleaning my rides so i condition the seats all the time. I use that turtle wax ICE interior gel. I think its amazing
