Mod my LS1 or upgrade to LS2....???
I currently have a 04 M6 GTO that has full exhaust on it. Would it be better to just keep upgrading my LS1 or sell it and use the money for the would be parts and upgrade to an LS2 GTO....thoughts? If upgrading is best then she is now up for sale!

I was actually semi in your shoes a few days ago. I had a 98 T/A, and it had all bolt on's without heads/or forced induction and i still only saw 400 to rear wheels.
I will tell you, as well many others here..the LS2 or 6.0 Iron Blocks are capable of plenty more power with just minimal mods (heads/cam/tune). I nearly got an LQ9 6.0 block to put into my Trans/Am (block had 77k miles on it), but then found an 06' GTO that i loved, walked in the dealership, and 3 hours later I had me a Goat with less than 5k on the odometer still with factory powertrain warranty for 20k or so in change.
You can get an iron block 6.0 (Lq9/lq4) for pretty cheap, upgrade to LS3 top end, (ls3 intake/fuel rails)
Texas Speed has 6.0 iron blocks for about 700.00, to me that's an excellent deal on a new 6.0 block. That way you can stick with cathedral style heads/top end, and that will save you some money, and you can transplant any supporting bolt ons you might already have (intake, aftermarket heads)
Good Luck on your future build
ps : Sorry for the long post guys

Ya, 6.0 iron blocks are cheaper than you think. But, If your not looking to squeeze every single little horepower out of it, an LS1 should suffice. A H/C/I LS1 on a stock bottem end, with the right tune, will easily clear the 450whp mark. And if that isnt enough for you, you still have room to build the bottem end or spray. Me, I'm looking to get as much as I can out of NA power without spending an *** load, so I am going with a 402 stroker.

I just picked up a Spice Red 06'
The paint just shimmers in the sun, and almost changes tone to darker blood red at evenings. I lucked out , because I didn't know how rare they were back in 2006.
