Default lt pacesetter headers

Anyone bought or had a bad experience with these headers?
I've had them for 2 years and the sound of my camaro isn't what it used to be, I'm thinking maybe the ceramic coating starts to flake off plugging up the cat, what do u guys think?

My gto came with these headers, I was wondering if I should change them if what I said is true :/

I've had Pacesetters on my Trans/Am. Their cheap, and it shows. They flake, and they rust. AKA "Rustsetters". With my GTO I'm not taking any shortcuts and I went with Dynatechs 1 7/8. Kooks are good stuff, American Racing, and Dynatechs are nice. All about 1,200-1,400.00 with LTs and HFC or cheaper (200.00) without cats. All have great flow. Get 1 7/8.. its a few dollars more, but you get what you pay for here.

Power.. 20-30hp.. definitely reccomended if you're opting to go heads/cam in the long run. Let that LSX breathe.. you'll be in the end.

to each his own guys. When it comes down to it, Pacesetters are surely budget friendly, and will yield you nice noticeable gains. I had them, and had bad experiences, it happens.. I just wanted stainless 1 7/8's with HFC's all of which Pacesetter doesn't offer.

Those sound like 2 bad *** Goats.

If your on a budget its hard to pass up but everyone is different. I prefer "the best" for my car. Had bad experiences in the past with going the cheap route. I was on the fence early this year with what set of headers to get. I went with American Racing and couldn't be happier. The difference in quality between Pacesetters and AR or Kooks is very clear when you see both in person.

Again this is just "my" choice. If your on a budget, your on a budget, the HP gains wont be that noticeable but quality and maybe fitment will be for sure.

i have 40000 miles on my pacesetters, and my mods. mine still look like new, and sound the same as the day i put them on. fitment is the backfall of pacesetters. with all kinds of company's that make aftermarket parts, sometimes a person gets the part that was made on friday. That does not make the part or company all bad...

I guess ill just polish them once a while.Could it be then that the camaro is loosing compression? Its just over 100k and doesn't feel as fast as before :/

All of the BS over at LS1GTO about pacesetters rusting and falling off or rusting and having holes in them is laughable... For budget minded people or for people that think spending over $900 for headers is crazy pacesetters flat out work.

I ran Pacesetters in my Trans/Am. With my GTO i opted for Dynatech with larger primaries. I'm pleased... eventhought their twice as much greenback, they woke the motor up significantly..extra money well spent IMO.
I had no issues when I had Pacesetters btw, go for it. their cheap and a good lil product.
