Default Hoods for 04 GTO? Opinions needed!

What up guys, I'm looking to get a hood for my 04. She's silver with TSW Cadwells and I think a hood would be a good change. I've looked around and found a few but I KNOW you guys can come up with some good ones. Everyone needs to post pics of their hoods or even pics of someone elses aftermarket hood so myself and a lot of other guys can see what's out there. I have a ColdAirInductions INC. CAI so no fitment issues should be a concern. Thanks guys.

I've always liked MPD's retro hood for LSX GTOs.

The styling of it is unique to the GTO name, it has an OEM quality fitment and it blends in nicely with the rest of the car. Unlike every other hood on the market that looks very aftermarket, ricey, tacky or like something you scraped off of a dead Grand Am.

I had actually looked at getting that one. Id do some sort of black outline on the outer edges of the scoop to set the lines of the hood off. It would be sweet if it came with the hump for a tach...or boost gauge? Lol. I keep seeing a company come up name VIS with a PRICEY trick looking hood, but I can't find any pics of an actual GTO wearing that hood? Its like 1500 bones, and they don't show the actual product on the tested vehicle anywhere I can find anyway.

that's a bad *** hood imo. I had a 1970 in High School. Cardinal Red/Black Interior. My 06 although no where near the feel of my old 70'...still makes me grin ear to ear when i start er' up and go cruising.. Whoever knew 3 simple letters would be such a bad *** namesake. Pontiac Never Forget...

Yea I with it was feasible for GM to bring back Pontiac with the TA first of all, another GTO, and the damn G8. Any more hoods guys? I know theres more than one. I wanna see some pics of them actually on cars and painted other than the damn gel coated demos on the vendors websites.

I put graphic decals on a '05 hood to give the scoops more definition. The yellow one is my buddies custom hood. Big bucks! Both '04's.

Wow. Yellows sharp but your blue one takes it. I agree on liking the 5 and 6 hoods. They are actually bad *** with tasteful graphics added. Ill probably go that route, maybe I can find a silver one off another wrecked car or something lol. I'm just curious about ALL that are available. And what's up with the VIS or VIC or whatever its called hood? Still haven't seen one on a car.

There are a few hoods out there. The Banshee is kinda cool. The Gravana cowl isn't bad. There's also a VFN Sunoco thats pretty cool at GFORCE ENGINEERING, LLC.com. I want a cowl like my buddies or this ws6 hood that is also custom. Some people don't like it but I think it is badass.

Default Cowl

Here is mine. It is the smaller cowl. The other cowl hood looks like it has a shoe box on the hood way too big.

I used the RKS, the body shop loved the fit and was easy to finish. And I loved the style.

Any pics of the WS6 style hood? I LIKE that smaller cowl hood. Price? I think it would look good with the scoop lines pinstripped in black and the scoop painted a metallic charcoal. Mines silver with TSW Cadwell wheels.

That looks pretty good imo. I like the SLP Ram Air hood. taller nostrils more aggressive profile. He should mock one of those up.
