A new **** is available but it is the complete **** and boot. Fairly expensive. Now might be a good time to upgrade to a SNL short shift adapter and get a standard screw on ****

Yes. pop the console up and get to the frame that holds the boot down. When you remove that you can pull the skirt of the boot up. You'll see two bolts holding the top part of the shifter shaft on, Remove those and you can take the whole assembly off now. Turn that and turn it over and look under the boot. Where the steel shaft goes into the handle you'll see 4 white clips. Pry the clip out a little with a small screwdriver. Insert a tooth pick under the clip to hold it open. Do all 4 clips. Put the shaft in a vice and pull the **** off. You may be able to silicone it back on but the original plastic piece inside the **** is broken and only a new **** will completely fix it.

Some people have rattle issues because they just jerk the **** off. Those clips are plastic and can break. It makes no sense to do that when you can ease it off a lot easier.
