what was the other non metal or aluminum intake that was being made for the LS1/LS2 i think it was Weiand

Weiand is aluminum.

Other than FAST, I dont know of any other composite intakes.

Fast was the only composite i believe as well and weiand was supposed to make a composite one called The street warrior but it never reached production sadly. but The LS6 intake is a nice piece. For free you could Open the 78mm Mouth to 85mm and install a professional products 85mm TB for about 200. I had that setup for a while.

The best bang for the buck is to sell your ls6 for 300-350 a get a used Fast 78mm usually around 500-600ish then port it and open the mouth to 85mm and add a 85mm Professional products TB. Custom Fast 85/85 setups are usually only a few hp down from a Fast 90/90 setup according to Tony Mamo.

A dremel tool is all you need just take your time and be careful



The biggest restriction on the old 78mm fast was the smaller mouth. Other than that it is the same internally as the 90 and 92. Now if you have the money the new Fast 102 unit is doing well but that requires an expensive TB.

Only aftermarket composite mass produced intake i know about it the FAST, and the only other one I heard about that was supposed to get produced was the Weiand Street Warrior and like Peetyz said it never made it to production.

You could send your ls6 to tpis and they can put a 90mm snout on it, its still a pricey mod but its not a fast

They had good results but the cost of that service would likely cost more than buying a used fast 90 and selling the used ls6.
