Default Weld Drag Wheels Now Available for GTO's!

Guys I'm proud to say Texas Speed now offers Weld racing drag wheels for the late model GM vehicles! We have front runners & drag rear wheels available for all the GTO's!

Sizes available in the S71's (wheel pic on left just below this) for the GTO include: 17"x8" for the fronts and rears, 18"x8" for fronts and rears, 17"x4" for the fronts, 18"x4.5" for the fronts, 17"x10" for the rears, 18"x10" for the rears, 20"x10" for the rears, and 15"x10" for the rears! Also available are the S74 wheels (wheel pic on right immediately below this) in the following sizes: 18"x4.5" for the fronts, 18"x8" for fronts and rears, 18"x10" for the rears, and 20"x10" for the rears!

The wheels on our shop L99 car are the polished version, but we also have a black face option as well! The car in the pics have Hoosier 28" rears & M&H front 28" skinnies! This car lost 130# from swapping the GM 21" wheels to these Welds! If memory serves me correctly the fronts were 32# & the rears were 45#!

Here's some data:

For the wheels on this car, fronts weighed 32lbs on the fronts with tires and 45lbs on the back with tires.

Though I'd show the 17x4.5 inch skinnies with the 5x120mm bolt pattern. I ordered them with the high pad height so they would clear my Baer calipers. They weigh in at 13 lbs. I'll probably get the 15 inch for the back if they have the right bolt pattern now. They didn't make a 5x120 15 inch when I bought these in August.

If you have a slick on the rear can you have a radial tyre on the front?

What size is on the black gto pictured above. Right now I'm running gto spares up front and stock 17's in back. I've liked these since they were first announced but really dont feel like dropping $400+ per wheel. Just curious how the 17 up front and 15 in back look. Right now I'm crossing at the very end of 3rd and think a 28" tire will work better.

Matt just confirmed the RT-S 15x10 does come in a 120x5 bolt pattern!

I called Weld and got a part number 71MB510N75A for the black. It is a new offering for the GTO in addition to the existing 17 inch wheels. They expect to manufacture the first ones in 6-7 weeks.

15x10.08 width
120x5 bolt pattern
7.50 backspace
medium pad height

Just placed my order. ...so I'll have the 17 inch front with the 15 inch back. The 15s are only in the $2xx range as compared to the 17s in the $4xx and $5xx range. Since I'm only running these on the track how they look together isn't as important to me as the 17s fitting over my front Baer calipers and the 15s giving me more tire options in the back.

so they should offer the 15x4 / 4.5 for the front in the 120x5.... that would clear the factory 04 brakes.

Should clear all stock gto brakes. It's when you have after market brake caliper setup you run into problems with fitting a 15" wheel.
