Default Plugs/caps in rear wheel wells are for what? Picture inside....

Both cars are pictured here but on my 05 goat and wifes 325i bimmer what are those plugs/caps that are in the wheel wells of the rear tire? Click pictures to make bigger. Thanks

thats an acsess hole to allow you to be able to clean out mud and debris that get caught inside the fender. the first time i removed mine to clean in there it was full of crap that would eventually start rust if not cleaned out.
