Stiff shifter/ gas
Ive been in the market for a GTO. Actually got around to testing one out tonight. A few things I noticed, the car requires a bit of force to shift. He has a hurst shifter on there. My 93 T/A shifted like glass. Also, the gas pedal seemed really stiff, which I kind of like. Are these normal for 04 GTOs? The shifting kind of concerns me a bit.

The '04s are cable driven, maybe there's a problem w/ the linkage if it's abnormally stiff.
I have the Hurst on my '06...it shifts pretty much like every other T56 I've driven. Was the car cold when you drove it? Sometimes the shifters in these cars a little stiff until things get warmed up. Hurst is middle grade on these cars...better than stock but not as nice as the $$ shifters like the Billet, MGW, etc.
