I'm beginning an LS1 swap using a 2004 GTO engine and wiring harness. I've done a few LS1 swaps before, all using 98-02 Camaro engines and stock wiring, but the GTO stuff looks a little different and I have some questions:

1) Park Neutral Position Switch on trans (automatic)- I know the car needs to have a park/neutral signal to know when to engage the starter, but it looks like the PCM also gets some signals from this switch when different gears are selected. What does the PCM do with that info? This wiring pigtail is in addition to the normal connector an LS1 PCM has to the 4L60E trans.

2) AC request- does the GTO AC system (in the car) send a standard AC request signal to the LS1 PCM like the Camaros and other US GM cars do??

I'm waiting for my shop manuals to arrive but thought I'd ask.
