Guys -
We ran a best of 13.14 @ 106.97 at Etown
Car:
2004 GTO
Bone stock - M6
3870 # with driver
Wheel hop is terrible....working on that
The 'clunk' you 'hear' is the stock EXHAUST hitting the rear-most mount...not wheel-hop. Expect a recall on this for sure - We took the rear tailpipe off, it was so annoying!

She ran three 13.6's each at 102.something. I was pretty pleased but I can't wait to get the torque converter installed. Headers, cam, and possibly heads are on my list then we'll see what she can do.
BTW, in run number one, I beat a Mach 1 (stock) by about the same margin as in the magazine story, one 10th or so. I'll look for some cobras after the other work is done!

The times seem accurate to what I have read. I am interested in what differnce the TC makes. Please update us as soon as done.

Tires made no difference at all (we tried both radials and drag radials) - because of the wheel hop, all we could do was slip the clutch or dog it off the line. ANY attempt to dump the clutch under power resulted in massive wheel hop. We even had wheel hop 1-2 AND 2-3, car was power shifted always. 60 fts were consistently 2.0s, no sub 2.0s. I can promise you, the car would have run 12.90s if we could have launched it right.
Car was STOCK, we took the tailpipe off because it hit the frame (but the mufflers remained) - no weight reduction (1/4-1/8 tank of gas). Didn't even take the floor mats out, and had some camera gear in the back.
The air was great - I was there with GMHTP who had a stock '04 ZO6 - it ran 11.97......on street tires the same day.
thanks

I can launch my car without any wheelhop. I fear that if I put drag radials tho that I'll snap something I don't want to. I really want someone else to fix the driveshaft/halfshafts before I race the car. I'm going to put the headers back on and cruise it for awhile.
In the mean time, congrats with the time! Now start breaking stuff so you can make new products so I wont have any "floor vents"

I weigh 190 - better yet, one of the guys from GMHTP who weighs about 165 (steve baur) ran a 13.11
....remember, we weighed in on Englishtown's scale - it may not have been “perfect”. I should have weighed myself to see if it was accurate.
we have several new items in the works - I think you'll like what we are working on

Hey guys, new to the site. Stumbled upon this thread from another forum when someone posted the times for the GTO. I, in return, posted about how the ZO6 ran a 11.97 stock. Of course I got the BS thing thru up. So, do you happen to have a timeslip of this? Here's said site.
