Talking H/C + Package

Parts are on order for my completely stock 5.7 GOAT. Just thought some of you guys might be interested in my before and after numbers, Ed at Virginia speed will be tuning the beast after the work is done. Shooting for end of April to be done, and then Ill post my numbers. Here's whats in store:

-Trickflow 215 CNC heads
-Custom Grind cam from Virginia Speed
-New Springs/ Lifters/ Pushrods
-Harland Sharp Rockers
-UD pulley
-Kooks 1 7/8 Headers
-3 inch High flow catted mids (stupid Virginia laws)
-CAI (not sure yet which one)
-42 lb Injectors (Green tops)
-Custom Tune via Ed at VA Speed

Any guesses at what Ill come out with?

depends on what size cam he gonna run..too many variables to say exactly how much it will make..we don't know which intake or cai he is gonna use so 420 may be alittle conservitive, but don't be shocked if im not that far off.

CAI Im lookin at the Svede but its pretty damn expensive. Im thinking about building my own straight flow, if i can find a way to get some cooler air up in front. Dont want to be cheap but I def dont want any type of elbow. Manifold will be a fast 102 w/ TB once I can find a decently priced used set up. Cam will be moderately aggressive, but nothing thats gonna make a rough idle.

Im hoping for 430 RWHP without the TB, FAST 102, and axle back exhaust. Those 3 will be next 3 mods after this is done.

the fast intake will make a huge difference..i picked up 31rwhp with the fast 92 and vararam cai.my next mod will be performance induction heads and have my fast 92 and throttle body ported.are you running the stock clutch?

it wont last long..haha. it wont slip, but it wont want to go into gear at hard acceleration.the pressure plate on my stock clutch had a crack in it at all the rivits when i was making 422rwhp.are you doing all the work yourself?

No, Virginia Speed is doing all the work except the injectors and CAI. How much does it cost for a decent clutch? Which one did you go with?

Being a 6 spd with trickflow 215's, fast 102 and any decent size cam will make more than 420 on a mustang dyno I think. But It does depend on what size cam and dyno he is going with to take a real guess at it.
