Default Busted Rod Bearing- Need New Engine!

I'm pretty sure that my rod bearing busted in my 06 Ls2. It had a mild cam, with supporting mods but thats it. I don't have the skill or time to tear the engine down myself and make the repairs.

So my position is do I pay to have the engine torn down and have have the parts replaced or just go with a new crate engine and use the heads and intake off the existing engine. I do want to make good power with the car and if I'm going to have to pay to have the engine torn down I'd want to go with a stroker crank and larger bore cylinders.

The other option is a new crate built crate engine, possibly an LS3. I have about a $9,000 budget and was just wondering what my options are. If it was you care what would you do to make the $9,000 make the most power? I'm wanting to go NA or FI, not NOS. I need to do something asap because this is my daily driver and need to get it back on the road. Thanks in advance!

for 9K you can have your engine rebuild to 500WHP NA easy probably more. For most good engine builders that should not be any problem. But do not go to any engine builder make sure they have good reputation dont go to cheap shop because you can save $500.

I'm thinking that I want to go with something with more cubes. Any suggestions on crate engines that will fit?

Well I've got a new 414 coming from Scoggin Dickey with a forged bottom. I'm going to use the same heads and intake off the old motor for right now because I'll probably throw a blower on it soon. Hoping to make around 500rwhp NA with the new crate motor!
