Default Major Electrical Issue

I have no idea what the issue could be, but for some reason if I sit at a red light or stand still for too long, my radio will cut off and my wipers and windows wont work afterwards. When I turn the car off, the radio will continue to play even after its off. I have to turn it to on and off again, then it will cut off. And when I start the car again, everything is fine.

Does anybody have any clue to what may be the problem?? Thanks..

Pull the glove box and check the BCM wires. A lot of GTO's are having issues with the back of the glove box rubbing and actually cutting into the BCM wires. Hope this helps.

I really appreciate that, and I hope it does too.

Let us know...I recently got my GTO, and I have not checked those wires yet, but I have seen a lot of threads where that issue was causing a lot of electrical problems.

Okay, so remove the glove box and wrap up the wires or something? Once in a blue moon when I'm getting on it hard the radio and lights will cut off for a second... possibly we have a similar problem.

Yes. Remove the glove box and you should see a box tucked right behind there (upper right). If you see any wires exposed tape them up. Some guys that want to be on the safe side actually add some sort of foam or packing to be sure it won't cut through again.
