Default Yet another exhaust thread.... pacesetters, and what mufflers?

I have an 04, Pacesetter longtubes, catless mids and no mufflers. Needless to say its too loud for the police around here, so I need something to quite it down a little bit. I love the way the spintechs sound but I think that it might still be too loud. I was looking for some opinions from people that have Flowmasters, Magnaflows, and spintechs that have a similar set up to me. I've been on youtube for the past week and still can't decide if its going to be too loud or not. Thanks for all of your help in advance.

I have Flowmasters on mine. It's an '04 with Pacesetters and catless mids like yours. IMO it sounds great. I get compliments on it all the time. It's plenty loud for a DD and not obnoxious. But people will definitely hear you and respect the car. It really wakes up over 3000rpms. If I had a video I would post it. Hope that helps.

Check out the other gto website, mufflers pop up all the time, I like magnapacks for a more reserved rumble, I have kooks catless Corsa and it is the ****! Spintech mufflers are awesome and there is a brand called Mac that appeal to mustang owners but really give you a deep throaty sound, have you thought about what tips your going with?

Spintechs are loud as crap with LT's. If you want something quieter maybe try Corsa or bassani. Flowmasters don't sound that great IMO. I had them and ditched them for afterburners.

So I've been hanging out with a couple of my buddy's the past 2 days who go to school pretty far away and haven't heard their exhausts in a while...one is running without a muffler, the other with SLP LM2s. I'm in love with the SLP! I forgot just how good the SLPs sounded. I'm definitely thinking about swapping out now. As soon as they're gone I'll probably be content with mine again though...until summer. Those might be too loud for your fuzz though.

Remember you have to live with the interior noise with the LM2. If you drive it on the daily it will get old.

Thanks for all the help guys. Ended up jumping on Craigslist and found a full flowmaster catback that came with catless mids for the stock manifolds too. Sounds great, not too loud but noticable. Exactly what I was lookin for! Thanks for all the suggestions.
