A lot of people swear by the Svede. But I haven't seen one yet that doesn't rub on the hood. I got a good deal on a Vararam so I'm going with it and modding it to be better (insulating it, sealing it to the hood, etc).

I have it and it doesn't rub. Works great as confirmed by scanning. Can't go wrong with getting one. I'd put it up against any other CAI out there.

I had a pretty good one before this one. LPE and Speed Inc spliced together, worked very well. Don't know what difference it would make at the track as I haven't been back to the track in years. Just know it flows better, so it should pull better times.

Vararam is a great bang for the buck but I've had problems with fitment on those as well.

Any OTR intake isn't going to fit perfect on these cars. IMO.

I think that it is the best OTR intake out there. I have spoken to multiple shops and the dynos do show an improvement over other CAI's.

It's a cold air intake I think it's west coast speed that makes it.

It's the one I developed. West Coast Speed is the only place that sells them. With good motor mounts and properly installed it shouldn't rub altho I've seen some variance in these cars. Mine and many others I've seen are fine.

Svede - I've got a K & N and I'm going to get the one you've developed.
One question - when I take my goat to Traverse City I use a colgan bra to avoid road rash.
The colgan bra is felt lined (bit thicker). So, my question is: might this creat a fitment issue?

If it goes on the outside of the car then no.

I've had a 4" cold air with box, vararam, and now a svede.

Svede hands down. Yes a little pricey but well worth it! I'd go ahead and order the breakaway harness with the upgraded IAT sensor.
