Default GTO Roller Help

Guys, I'm going to look at a 2006 GTO roller this weekend. My question to all of you is can I run a LS1/LQ4/LQ9 in the 06? There's been some debate on 24X rings and 58X rings on the 06's so worst case if this came with a 58X ring, I would just need to either swap rings or run the Converter box correct? My goal is to just drive the car for now and I have a complete drivetrain to drop in if this will work. Any and all help is appreciated.

All GTOs use the 24x.

Ok, so that being said, I shouldn't have any issues putting and ls1 style drivetrain with GTO accessories in the GTO with the exception of some tuning. Thanks for the confirmation.

Knock sensor location is different. I believe you can get a harness to adapt to the Gto or just get a diagram and redo it yourself.

Cool, thanks man. I'm really hoping this pans out. I'd love to add an Impulse Blue GTO to the stable.

I have a 2005 GTO with an ls1 implant, it's a relatively easy swap.

The biggest thing you should need, is if you are going with a manual tranny is the GTO style shifter....it sits back farther on the tranny than in a truck or f-body...if you have the option, go with a lq4/9 block 408 stroker....I absolutely love mine

Cool...thanks guys. One last question since you guys know your GTO's....what would you guys pay for a roller? I'm talking about a car this is really clean, no accidents, just needs engine, trans, and front accessories (waterpump, power steering pump, A/C, etc). Just curious. Thanks again.

You can figure somewhere around $5,000-7,000 less than a good running one in your area....around here id guess $7,000-9,000? But that's just a guess

The guy still has it and I'm up in the air about it. The guy I sold my old 00' SS Hardtop to called me last week to let me know he's putting the car up for sale. I loved that car and hated selling it so I don't know if I should buy it back or go the GTO route.
