Default 2004 GTO track times and opinions needed..

Made my way to atco race way last night...

First pass

13.08 w/107 with 1.97 60 ft

second pass

13.1 w.106 with 2.0 60 ft

The car is 2004 Automatic, only mods is custom diablo tune pacesetter headers and cold air intake. Are these times average for this car?

I also ordered CNC ls6 heads and lingenfelter gt2-3 cam. After a good tune what kind of gains can i see?

Those are good times for a 2004 A4 with those mods.

GT2-3 = 25-30whp
The heads will give you 40whp

Let me know how the cam drives and idles. I've been looking at that cam for my DD. It should idle smoother then the stock cam.

Yes those times are very good for an 04 A4 with those mods. You should be proud because iv only had a few sub 2.0 60s with mine on the stock stall when i was just LT's and cai. Were you full weight when you ran those times? What was the DA?

Those are almost identical to what my car ran...the fastest mine went was 13.05 107.92 with a 1.98 60 I'm pretty sure the 1/8 mile MPH was 84.85 good times though bud

I was just thinking; what valve springs are you going to be running with the GT2-3? A lot of people run the LS6 springs, but its right on the edge for lift being .570" max. I have only read of one guy that broke a spring and he had to have the engine rebuilt, etc. That was after 10 to 15k miles after the cam install.

If it was me I would buy a new dual spring kit or some good beehives and new pushrods.

Definitely stout times especially if you were on street tires and not dr's

I have stock 245/45/17 Firestone firehawks, I will be running ls6 springs as recommend by Lingenfelter. I ordered hp tuners because I think I'm pushin the limits of diablo. I was full weight plus a car seat and ups box with cam timing chain and gaskets lol. It was 71 degrees Im running again Tuesday. I wanna see If I can pull a 12.9 before I cut it open. What do u mean da? What's funny weather I launch at 2000 or off idle my 60 are Usuall 1.975 or close to it I got 1 1.957 n car hit rev limit in on 1st to 2nd shift.
