Most of those "azzholes " hang out here too.......

Rear is not bulletproof by any means. I think it depends on how you drive the car and how much power your putting down.

I don't understand why they would have picked on you for your grammar or spelling at all. It looks perfect to me...

Seriously? Maybe they did it to prove a point. The point being; if you want to know something or learn something, present it as something that is easily legible. You do realize that these forums are basically knowledge bases, right? If someone wanted to try and figure something out and they actually do a search instead of starting a bunch of threads about the same thing, it would be best to be able to read it. Especially if it's something important to them or their car.

To be honest, as well, I have no idea what you're asking...

Are you asking if the rear end is strong enough for just driving on the street? If so, the answer would be "duh!?" If GM didn't build them strong enough to drive on the street then they would have never been put on the street.

Listen i didnt post all what i put the thread sorry. But I put on there that I have owned two trans ams in my time. One trans am with h/c/i, and after motor went just cam only. Now with the SEARCH that I used. I seen that the gtos rear end isnt the same at all cuz of the irs. They have said its pretty tough from factory. I asked if all i did was some launches on street tires or ect, if it would hold up. Mainly asked because i went through 3 rear ends (mainly gears) in my trans am.

Oh, ok, it'll hold up fine. Plenty of people with stock rear ends launching at the strip, you'll be fine on the street.

Honestly though if you really use the search function it's pretty magical, you can find out a lot more than if you start a thread. Not trying to be a dick, just sayin'.

However I must say that they do go a little overboard on LS1gto at points.

Yea. The rears will hold. Ran my car on the track 60+ times and it's held up just fine.

There are some "azzholes" there, but there is also a ton of good knowledge. You'll just have to learn to sift through the "azzholes" to get the information you're looking for. I, too, am one of those people who enjoys being able to read easily the question being asked, rather than putting extra effort into deciphering it and then answering.
To answer your question, as others have already done, you SHOULD (emphasis on "should") be fine with a few hard launches every now and then.

Op, that site is filled with nothing but sell centered douches. If they see you have low post count or have just recently joined, prepare for the dipshit reply's. For some reason they think a person in this day and age is new to forums and hasn't done a search on their own.

But then again, the search does suck's. The best thing to do to is 'Google' what ever question you have and more than likely it will come up with your answer. It has worked better for me more than searching that **** *** forum.
